About Us About Us

Founded in 2005, Bead Realm is a small private company owned exclusively by Joseph and Mary Fleming. We are fully committed to offering customers exemplary service and plan to grow the company in tandem with our customers - all the while maintaining a personal "home-grown" ethos so legendary in days gone by, but a rarity in today’s fast-paced global business environment.

The company’s main focus will be on Lampwork beads, the eventual goal being to offer clients the most comprehensive array of these beads.

Imagination and creativity should always be given free reign. At Bead Realm we believe your achievements can be big and aesthetically pleasing as your dreams.

About the Beads:

  • The Lampwork Dichroic beads are hand-made in the U.S.A. by renowned glass artists Paula Radke, who has more than 26 years’ experience in this creative art , each bead is kiln-annealed for strength and durability.

  • The Lampwork glass beads from India, and China are made the traditional way, they are not kiln-annealed and are more fragile then beads which have been annealed. Beads made in the traditional way may be cleaned in warm soapy water, the bead hole can be cleaned with yarn threaded through an embroidery needle. A bead reamer is not recommended on these lovely hand-crafted beads, as they may split the in half.
